How do you do an RFID stock count with Orixya?
Start a count for a store or warehouse on the handheld, walk the shop floor and stock room while the reader collects tags, then finish the count. Orixya compares every tag it read against the items it expects in that location and shows the differences for review before anything changes in stock.

Can count results update my existing system?
Yes. With the integration route, the reconciled count is sent to your ERP, POS or WMS as stock adjustment events through an API, webhooks or file exchange. With the Orixya retail system, reconciling updates stock and posts the adjustment to accounting at the item’s cost directly.
What makes an RFID count tag-accurate?
A quantity count only tells you that you have eleven units of a product. A tag-accurate count tells you which eleven, by each tag’s unique identifier. Orixya keeps a ledger of where each tag was last seen, so a count can show that a specific piece is missing, that an unexpected piece is present, or that a piece belongs to another location.
How are misplaced items handled?
When a count finds an item that Orixya expects in a different store or warehouse, it is classified as misplaced instead of being booked as a loss in one location and a gain in another. That keeps shrinkage figures honest and means the order in which locations are counted does not change the result.
How does an RFID count compare with a barcode count?
Barcode counts need each item scanned one at a time in line of sight, which is why many stores only count once or twice a year. RFID reads many tags at once without line of sight, so a full count fits into a normal working day and can be repeated weekly.

Frequently asked questions
How long does an RFID stock count take?
It depends on the store size, layout and how items are stored. Because the handheld reads many tags at once, a store count usually takes a small fraction of a barcode count. We time a real count in your store during the demo.
Can two people count at the same time?
Counts are per location, so different stores or the warehouse can be counted in parallel with separate handhelds.
Does a count change stock immediately?
No. Nothing changes until you review the differences and reconcile. You can search for missing items first.
